As a follow up to their 2011 full-length self-titled debut, Milwaukee's Well Informed Citizens have released their first single “Leaders of the Revolution,” off their new, full-length album to be released spring 2013.The song is a collaboration between writers Daniel Nathan and Blax, who was recently named a top 50 artist in "AllHipHop.com’s Best Of The Underground for 2012." The track features Blax on vocals, Daniel Nathan on guitar and backing vocals, Brian Nolan on drums, Zach Steiner on bass, and is produced by Jack LeTourneau. Daniel Nathan wrote the songs and Evil Kneevers produced, engineered, mixed and mastered the 2011 release. In 2012, Well Informed Citizens were nominated for Best New Artist in the 32nd Annual Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI) Awards, and were also nominated for several 88.9 Radio Milwaukee's "Milwaukee Music Awards": Best Band, Best Album, and "See You Falling" for Best Song and Catchiest Song."Satisfying swamp rock where guitar riffs are the stars" - Milwaukee Journal Sentinel "guitar playing reminiscent of Jimmy Page and Lindsey Buckingham" - OnMilwaukee.com "a band that sounds ready to crash any biker gang picnic they can find" - Shepherd Express "seriously wicked flute skills" - Blues Rock Review daniel@wellinformedcitizens.com |
